After eliminating the other teams, the group from Veliko Tarnovo consisting of Desislava Vasileva, Sonya Georgieva, Stefan Filev, Ivaylo Gaserov and Nikola Petrov, reached the final against the German debaters. In a disputed duel that caused applauses for both countries, the winner with just two points advantage became the German team.
